Jesuit Urumuri Centre (JUC) in collaboration with African Jesuit AIDS Network (AJAN) and the Catholic Education Secretariat in the Archdiocese of Kigali are now conducting a Workshop on the A HAPPY Generation Programme. This is a ten days training of Trainers ( TOT) Workshop that is taking place at CENETRA Hotel, the premises of Saint Therese Sisters of Kabuga in Gasabo District, from the 22 to 31 July, 2019.

A HAPPY is an acronym for AJAN HIV and AIDS Prevention Programme for the Youth. It is a programme initiated by AJAN and is meant to promote integral development of the
youth.

For the first time in Rwanda, AHAPPY is being introduced and is gathering 30 teachers from some Catholic Secondary Schools around the Archdiocese of Kigali. During this workshop, the teachers will cover a training manual on HIV and AIDS Prevention for the youth.

However, the program will also extend to universities and other youth formation centres. The teachers attending this important event are expected to get the required skills and the known-how to strengthen their capacity to entertain the youth on the HIV & AIDS prevention.
